Taurine is an amino acid that is exclusively found in animal-based proteins. Internal organs such as hearts and livers are Taurine-rich that is crucial for not only pet's development but also in helping us humans.
Taurine can be found in the following animal proteins:

Why do dogs need taurine
Unlike cats, dogs can synthesise taurine much better. Some breeds such as Golden Retrievers, Cocker Spaniels and Doberman are more prone to taurine deficiency and can lead to problems such as (DCM) and health problems contributing to overall health decline.
